Hue city is located on the bank of Perfume River, it was the imperial capital of the Nguyen dynasty, a feudal dynasty who dominated much of southern Vietnam between the 17th and 19th centuries. One of the most significant cultural and historic centers of Vietnam, the former imperial city of Hue is celebrated for its tradition of intellectual thought, Buddhist piety.
The Ancient Hue was recognized by UNESCO as one of the World Heritage Sites. This city is the cradle of Vietnamese culture and used to be the national capital, educational, cultural and political center of Vietnam under the Nguyen Dynasty.
After 2 hours driving along beautifully scenic road with a couple of stops for sightseeing and incredible natural scenery along the way including the peak of Hai Van pass (pass of Ocean and clouds), Lang Co beach, oyster farming lagoon, you arrive in the city of Hue.
We’ll start to visit Khai Dinh Tomb – built for the 12th Emperor of the Nguyen dynasty, it blended Western and Eastern architecture, a site that looks more like a palace than a grave. Whilst admiring intricate colorful details. Then take your lunch break, enjoying a delicious local lunch, savoring a variety of Hue local specialties! Continue to the Mausoleum of Tu Duc, official Khiem Tomb, it was built from 1864 to 1867. This Emperor had the longest reign of any monarch of the Nguyen dynasty. The layout of the tomb consists of two main parts, arranged on two longitudinal parallel axes-axis to each other, it looks like a large park where is a stream year-round, pine trees ringing, birds singing.
Once you have refueled, we’ll arrive at the highlight of this tour: the Citadel, also known as The Imperial City and Forbidden City, a major attraction surrounded by a moats and thick defensive walls that encompass palaces, and shrines. It was listed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and the home of the last royal family of Vietnam, Nguyen dynasty, from 1802 until 1945. Then, visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, a Buddhist monastery which origins dating back to 1601. It is an unofficial symbol of Hue that stands 7 storeys high, set on top of Ha Khe hills overlooking the stunning Perfume River.
Finally, take a cruise on a Dragon boat along the scenic Perfume River. Sit back and enjoy the peaceful scenery as you head back to the city center. After a long afternoon exploring the rich past of the old city, transfer back to hotel in Da Nang.

08H45-09H30 : Stop at Hai Van Pass, Lang Co beach, lagoon for photography.

12H45 : Stop for lunch & take a rest.
