Located on Highway 24B to Sa Ky – Dung Quat port in Tinh Khe commune, 3km west of My Khe beach and 13km northeast of Quang Ngai city, Son My Remnants Area (or My Lai) is quite far from Hoi An city, so our journey will begin quite soon. After early breakfast, pick up at your hotel or meeting points (around Hoi An City), it takes about 3 hours to drive from Hoi An City to Son My Remnant Area. Son My is a peaceful village like many other Vietnamese villages. The grim fate has brought Son My name beyond its territory and into the conscience of humanity through the shocking massacre, well-known as the “My Lai massacre” carried out by a US military force on March 16, 1968. Son My Remnants Area was built and preserved as a memorial place for the victims of that tragedy.
The remnants area includes two main areas: the gallery – is the place to display artifacts and documents related to the massacre. And in the garden is to restore the remains from the massacre. Visiting the Son My relic, visitors can see firsthand the mass graves of the victims, the firecrackers and burned floors … Here, there is also a large stele containing the names of 504 people who died at that morning fateful. There is a documentary film recording the narrative and the image of the survivors, there are many scrapbooks that visitors have written in many languages as a way to commemorate those who have died from the war.
Before the end of the journey to return to Hoi An, we stop at a local restaurant, enjoy the local dishes here, recharge for a long drive back to a busy city of Hoi An.

07H30 : Pick up at your hotel (around in Hoi An) and transfer to Quang Ngai to visit Son My Remnant Areas (or My Lai).
10H30 : Arrive Son My Remnant Areas and start to explore the history around this village.
13H00 : Leave Son My Remnant areas, transfer to local restaurant in Quang Ngai province to enjoy your lunch.
14H00 : Transfer back to Hoi An city.
17H00 : Drop-off to your hotel.
